Having embarked on Formentera for a day trip, we set out in our quest to find the perfect place with sea views to have lunch. Our initial stop at Beso Beach was a bit underwhelming (restaurant without views and staff with a bit of an attitude) so we continued on and were rewarding by finding Chezz Gerdi at the end of a rather narrow path in the middle of not much.
It is a hidden treasure which people either walk to from the village center or are lucky enough to step off their yachts. We were greeted cordially and shown a very nice table with a view which was a welcome change in a week of Ibizean Beach Clubs too cool for customer service.
Food is Italian and done with skill, I liked my pasta with duck ragout - freshly made and tasty with quality ingredients.
For dessert the tiramisu was a light and modern interpretation of a classic which we enjoyed. We will be back!
