Formentera // by Jetsettista
Somewhat unusual while on a holiday in Ibiza, one day we woke up a bit earlier and decided to get onto the ferry and spend a day in Formentera. We did not have any tickets, but we were allowed to board and could purchase our tickets on board of the trasmapi ferry, at a price of about 46 Euros per person. 30 min later we arrived at Formentera and started our quest for a rental scooter to explore the island. We decided to get a stylish little vespa and off we went. Formentera is much smaller than Ibiza and has a different vibe to it, its more laid back, with people cycling or on scooters in general. We went to Chezz Gerdi for lunch - along a tiny little road but so worth it! We went along the main road to the other side of the island, stopping at El Mirador at the far end of the island from where you can enjoy a sweeping view along the coastlines. We then continued on towards the Faro and also took a little side road to get to an old and restored windmill. There are many quiet walking paths down towards the coast and back to the center of Formentera from there, which we would have liked to explore had we had more time. On the return trip we stopped at Gecko Beach Club which was great for a sunset cocktail and we will keep this in mind for a potential lunch stop in the future as well, the menu looked very nice Jetsettista's reviewsJetsettista's Bucket List
I never manage to go to all the places I have on my list when I go somewhere, but they are probably as nice as those I went to - why don't you check them out?
