Aquavit is a very stylish restaurant located in a newly redesigned area of St. James market, with an unusual concept emphasising Nordic Cuisine.
The restaurant is beautifully designed and the Nordic theme is picked up throughout, with sugar boxes from Georg Jensen and typical blue/white plates for some dishes
We went for some smorgasbrod of a selection of matjes herring and Gravlax which come with a tasty selection of breads, which we complemented with some of the more unusual choices on the wine list, we tried a white Portuguese cuvee 'Quinta de Rosa' as well as Amalaya, an Argentinian cuvee of Torrontés/Riesling
We chose the traditional meatballs - Impeccable
and the cod for main courses, which turned out to be perfectly executed.
